There were two gas stations in cities across Somerset County selling midgrade gas at the lowest price of $3.34 per gallon in the week ending Oct. 5, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.
The average reported cost of midgrade gas in cities within Somerset County was $3.47 per gallon.
Of the 46 reported gas stations in cities within Somerset County, eight offer midgrade gas.
The $3.55 average reported price of midgrade gas in Maine was unchanged from the previous week.
Drivers across the U.S. have faced a rollercoaster of gas prices in recent months and years. Though the cost of a gallon of gas is dropping, experts suggest they may rise to $4 before the end of 2024.
