Good morning, Kennebec County. The Sheriff’s Office has received at least 8 calls over the past few days regarding Sgt. Scott Taylor from Kennebec Sheriff’s Office calling and telling people that they need to come to the office to sign legal documents. While we think Sgt. Taylor is a great guy he longer works at the Sheriff’s Office and we hope he is enjoying his retirement. (Just to be clear, it is not Sgt. Taylor making these calls) Please be careful in regards to giving out any of your personal information, and do not pay for things over the phone without verifying what is going on. Scammers continue to try to find new ways to get your information and money. Have a great day!
