The Colby College Volleyball team ran its win streak to four games after sweeping the Colby Invite Tournament, dowinng Mount Holyoke 3-1 in the finale (19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-14).
After dropping the first set to a Mount Holyoke unit that challenged the Mules all day at the net, Colby came from behind in the second set to knot the match at one set apiece. Battling to pull ahead in the second set, Colby ran away in the third with a convincing victory, matching their 4-0 start to the season from a year ago. LJ Grant led the Mules with 14 kills. Susie Mueller and Alli McKenney each recorded two service aces, and Natalie Bumpus recorded two solo blocks up front.
Colby will open NESCAC play this coming weekend when they take to the road for matchups at Conn. College Friday night and Bowdoin College Saturday.
