Following an eight-day play break, Colby returned to the court this afternoon to face off against visiting Connecticut College. The Mules benefited from having a full roster as they could rely on their bench heavily. Colby took a 37-30 lead into the half and would hold off a second-half comeback from the Camels. The victory takes the Mules to 15-5 while dropping the Camels to 12-8.
The first half saw the Mules struggle inside, but they shot 46 percent from three-point range to build a lead. Max Poulton led the scoring for Colby with 13 points and was followed by 11 points from Lucas Green. The Mules were aided by the bench, significantly outscoring the Camels 19-2 on bench points.
The second half saw Connecticut College fight back, closing the gap to four points. This rally came as Colby struggled to shoot from three-point range but found more success inside, hitting over half their shots. Will King and Noah Tyson led the scoring for the Mules with eight points apiece, followed by an additional seven from Poulton.
