Colby College Baseball Splits Doubleheader Against RPI | Colby College
Colby Baseball made the trek over to New York this weekend for a doubleheader matchup against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute earlier this Saturday. The Mules would split the two games, winning game one with a score of 9-8 and falling in game two 3-0.
GAME 1:
- Clint Flippo led Colby hitting 3 RBIs, two of which came on a single hit in the second inning.
- Cole Palmeri hit a homerun in the sixth inning, putting Colby up 7-5 at the time.
- Patrick McConnell led the Mules going 3 for 5 on the day.
- Colby hit for a total of eight extra-base hits
- Ryan Grecco earned the win, pitching 3.1 innings and striking out four of thirteen batters faced.
- Julian Erro Pitched 4.0 innings, striking out six of nineteen batters faced
- Drew Miller and McConnell reached base on walks.
