Colby won both games against the Minnesota Morris Cougars to start their spring training trip in Florida. They had a close first game, coming out on top with a 1-0 score and won the second game 7-2.Game 1:
- Starting pitcher Abby Orso threw seven scoreless innings with 14 strikeouts.
- Colby had five hits and two stolen bases
- The Mules had a tight defense, giving up no runs
- Starting pitcher Sam Ahlholm threw all seven innings, with six scoreless innings
- Four separate Mules registered at least one RBI
- First-year Emma Burnham hit her first collegiate home run
- The Mules were able to work out of situations with runners in scoring positions leaving 10 on base for the Cougars
- Colby stole two bases
- Jackie Hill hit a triple in the 6th, getting three RBI
- The Mules were able to score five of their seven runs with two outs
