Former Winthrop High School standout Ella Rice and the UMaine Farmington Beavers suffered a 44-108 defeat to the NYU Violets in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 6.
The contest, which tipped off at 7:45 p.m., marked the Beavers’ first tournament meeting with the NYU Violets and was played at John A. Paulson Center.
