Waterville Center for Health and Rehabilitation Q4 2023’s 3rd largest nursing home in Kennebec County

In the fourth quarter of 2023, Waterville Center for Health and Rehabilitation stood out as the third largest nursing home in Kennebec County, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Data shows that the nursing center had a total of 111 beds available, 20 more than the average in Kennebec County as of the fourth quarter of 2023. They aided an average of 97.9 residents during that period.

Waterville Center for Health and Rehabilitation had an overall rating of 1 from the CMS, which lags behind the average of 3 recorded for nursing homes in Maine.

During the quarter, Mainegeneral Rehabilitation and Long Term Care – Glenridge stood out as the largest nursing home in Kennebec County, with 125 beds available. Maine Veterans Home – Augusta came in second place, with 120 beds available.

As of the fourth quarter of 2023, Waterville Center for Health and Rehabilitation has already spent a total of $34,844 in three fines and suffered four penalties.

In total, there were four for-profit nursing homes in Kennebec County, Maine.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education group. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
