Colby College Takes Out Wooster With Big Innings

The Colby College Baseball team used big innings in the second (five runs) and the ninth (four runs) to move past the College of Wooster 12-8 on Wednesday.  Colby improves its record to 6-3 while the Fighting Scots fall to 5-6. 

  • Joe Sylvester took to the mound for the third time this season, this time earning the start.  The first-year pitched four innings and left the game with Colby ahead 6-2. 
  • Plating runs in five out of the nine innings, the Mules tallied the most runs during their current spring break trip. 
  • Colby collected 12 hits from eight different players, including doubles by Clint Flippo, Brady O'Brien, Cole Palmeri, and Marcus Forrester.  Forrester led the way with three hits.  
  • Ryan Grace collected an RBI single in the first and knocked in two with another single in the second, pushing Colby out in front 6-0 after two innings.  Both hits came with two outs.
