UMA Moose basketball players Trevor Beals, Lance Templin, Yonas Medfu, Raeanah Reynolds, and Autumn Freeman had fun Moosin' around at recess with some great 3rd and 4th graders from River View Community School in South Gardiner on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022. The beautiful weather and above average temperatures set the perfect background for having fun while learning about teamwork and sportsmanship. We were thrilled to award so many kids with Moose mini basketballs and stickers for displaying sportsmanship and being kind while competing. "Helping the community is important to all of us." said Autumn Freeman, a Mountain Valley graduate, now freshman guard studying Medical Lab Technology, "Seeing the kids laughing and learning about teamwork makes your heart full". The Moose have many more adventures planned and are excited to continue to make a positive impact on our community.
