The Moose hit the road Saturday for a big conference victory in Concord as they battled against a tough NHTI squad. The Moose took a 3 point victory into the half and walked away with a 71-66 win. The Moose came out firing in the second half going on a 21-11 run to put them ontop by 13 points in the first seven minutes of the second half. NHTI battled back and continued to cut into the lead bringing it to within 5 with 1:44 remaining in the game. Trevor Beals would convert on a layup with 1:13 remaining to extend the lead to 7 when James Jones Jr came down and hit a 3 to bring it back to within 4 points with 54 seconds remaining. NHTI had called a timeout and the Moose came out with a big finish by Fraser MacDonald on a feed from Jalaughn Jackson which would seal the game for the Moose as they would go up by 6 with 33 seconds remaining.
The Moose were led by Fraser MacDonald who coverted on 7 of 11 from the floor, 18 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Yonas Medfu finished with 13 points and 4 rebounds, and Jalaughn Jackson finished with 11 points and 6 assists. The Moose were able to get to the foul line 29 times; Coach Paul Piscopo had emphasized the importance of getting to the line before the game and the team answered the call.
