After an impressive win over Great Bay Community College in the quarterfinal round, the Moose now look to lean on their three seniors as they prepare to face one of their biggest rivals, the Southern Maine Community College SeaWolves in the semifinals. The Moose fell short, 62-52, in their first clash with the SeaWolves, back on November16th, 2022. The tides would turn on the SeaWolves on February 9th, 2023, when the Moose took the victory with a 56-49 final score. "We had not beat the SeaWolves since 2018", said senior forward Kaeti Butterfield. "Now that we have that monkey off our back, we can focus on taking them on again in the semifinals on Saturday with confidence in each other that we can do it."
Three seniors, Kaeti Butterfield, Sidney Farrar, and Mariah Dunbar, will help lead the Moose, in what is certain to be, a true rival clash. They will also look to their very talented first and second year players, Alisyn Alley, Hailey Paquet, Briana Dumais, Ariana Alcide, and Tamara Ellis. Alley, a freshman guard from Stearns High School, just recently broke the UMA Single Season Assist Record and looks to "quarterback" the Moose to the championship game on Sunday.
