Abbey may have graduated in December, but she will walk the stage with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree this Saturday! She has already started her professional career as the Director of Resident Life at York County Community College.
Abbey started at UMA as an online transfer student and quickly decided to become more involved with the on-campus experience. Throughout her career at UMA, Abbey was a Community Assistant at Stevens Common, participated on the track team, served on the SAAC committee and was an exceptional member of the UMA Admission Ambassador Team. She was also involved with UMS social media indicatives and named a UMA Rising Scholar.
Here’s Abbey’s advice for first year college students: “Explore every option UMA offers — clubs, sports, scholarships, work-study — and everything in between. I met the most amazing people in Admissions being an admissions ambassador. Along with building my career in Residence Life, after given the chance to be a community advisor and being mentored by Kim Kenniston. Opportunities at UMA are endless, and they help you grow as a person and expand your family”.
Abbey, while you were only with UMA for a few short years – you certainly left your mark as a student leader. Thank you for making UMA a better place. We already miss you but with graduation just around the corner - we miss you more!
